Our Services

We lead coalitions of best-in-class practitioners to bring your vision to full fruition. The following description outlines a complete process of your landscape architecture process — from conception to completion. Depending on your needs, we can execute on just one step, or the entire life cycle.

Landscape Planning and Management

Accurate assessments of the existing conditions are the backbone of a successful architecture and landscape design. This analysis would start with the land: a review of geotechnical and soil reports. We will review the vegetation on site to see what is growing well and where, and check for invasive species. This study would also assess the neighbouring properties and municipal bylaws and plans, so future designs are in line with current plans and regulations, and the natural landscape. Together, all this creates the sustainability vision for the site, so every step in the landscape design and construction process adheres to best practices.

Conceptual Landscape Design

After a deep dive into the expectations and dreams of our clients, we create conceptual landscape designs that respond to those conversations, and are based on an intensive assessment of the property. Our unique design process is based on our Core Focus – Landscape As Art – that is continuously sculpted to make your garden retreat not only beautiful, but also hardy, practical, and well-planned. The conceptual designs will be presented in beautifully rendered 2D for review, as well as an interactive 3D model. Our designs don’t incorporate any artificial intelligence to create – they rely entirely on our extensive training, experience, and vision.

Detailed Construction Drawing Packages

We’re known for our highly comprehensive drawings that bring our creative landscapes to life. In our experience, impeccably detailed drawings give contractors and suppliers the direction and confidence they need to execute the vision flawlessly. This also speeds up the construction process, as the contractors are able to interpret the vision more readily, and plan their involvement.

Horticulture Planning, Design & Implementation

Our highly trained horticulture team ensures the softscape looks stunning in all season. Starting with the on-site assessment, they will determine the best plants for the site. Following your approval of the plan, they will research and visit nurseries to tag or get plants started for your property, so when the time comes for the softscape installation, all the plants are thriving and ready for the soil of your garden. Our horticulturalist will be present on site when the plants arrive – and if required, will lead the softscape team to install the plants. If you want our help, we will also manage your plants over time, so your garden retreat thrives for years to come.

Project Management

Once the working drawing packages are approved, to lock in the favourable contractor and supplier pricing, a complete tendering package is produced. Following this, our project management team will assist with selecting the contracting team, and ensuring timelines are best kept throughout the process. For local Vancouver landscape design projects, our team is able to provide daily check-ins during construction, and follow up with detailed notes and action items to ensure a streamlined construction period. For projects outside of the lower mainland, our team can still provide the same assistance with the tendering and selection process, and can carry out virtual or on-site management services as appropriate.

Cultivation

Landscapes change continually. This design medium is one that is not fixed once it has been installed, as the softscape especially will continue to change and develop season after season. Even low-maintenance designs require some degree of oversight to ensure vitality. Our team is available to manage your landscape maintenance to ensure it is resilient, flourishing, and changing with the season of your life.

Our Process

Our process unfolds over time and divides into five broad stages that reflect the birth of a garden and its life over the years ahead.
